How Scoring Works
The math behind the leaderboard.
1. Online Series Scoring
- +1 pt — correct match / series winner
- +1 bonus — exact map score / map count correct, such as 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2 in a BO5
- Underdog bonus — extra points only if the selected team has a locked underdog bonus and wins:
- Underdog +1
- Underdog +2
- Underdog +3
Clarifications
Incorrect winner picks get 0 points.
Exact map score / map count bonus only applies if the user picked the correct winner.
Underdog bonus only applies if the underdog team wins and the user picked that underdog.
Online Series winners are worth +1, not +2.
2. Power Pick Scoring
Power Pick is live.
Rules
- Pick 2–5 match winners.
- Every selected team must win for the slip to hit.
- One wrong play = total loss.
- Power Pick does not include map-count picks.
- Matches inside Power Pick are scored through the slip only, not as normal match picks.
Power Pick total if the slip hits
- +1 series winner point for each selected correct play
- plus Power Pick slip bonus
- plus locked underdog bonuses if selected underdogs win
Power Pick bonus
- 2-play hit: +1
- 3-play hit: +3
- 4-play hit: +5
- 5-play hit: +8
Example
2-play slip with no underdogs:
- Series winners: +2
- Power Pick bonus: +1
- Underdogs: +0
- Total: +3 pts
Clarifications
If one selected team loses, the full Power Pick earns 0.
Power Pick legs do not also earn separate normal match points.
Power Pick legs do not earn map-count points.
Raw odds are not shown.
3. Bracket Scoring
Wrong picks score 0, never negative. The Grand Final and third-place match pay the podium bonus instead of the +2 match win.
4. When Picks Lock
Picks close when an admin closes predictions or when BreakingPoint confirms a match is live. Scheduled start time alone does not lock picks.
5. Tiebreakers
If users finish with the same score, tiebreakers may be handled by exact-score accuracy, earliest valid pick submission time, or admin review depending on the active competition rules.
